Chain
This is commonly referred to as a transport chain and is typically used for load binding, towing, or logging. Grade 70 is the strongest type of carbon chain.
*Not suitable for overhead lifting.
Grade 80 alloy chain is designed for lifting and can be fashioned into slings for overhead lifting, with a safety design factor of 4:1.
Grade 100 alloy chain is 25% stronger than Grade 80, allowing for the same lifts to be performed with a lighter chain. It also has a design factor of 4:1.
